Alison Balsom performed Guy Barker's Trumpet Concerto (The Lanterne of Light) and the world premieres of And the sun stood still by Sarah Jenkins and Dobrinka Tabakova's Tectonic with the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Bramwell Tovey at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on the 5th of December 2018.

Alison Balsom performed with friends on the 12th of March 2017 at the Royal Albert Hall.

Alison Balsom's concerts at the Wigmore Hall on the 9th of June 2017 with Guy Barker and on the 18th of May 2017 with Lucy Crowe were cancelled on doctor's orders due to her pregnancy.

Alison Balsom became the 2013 Gramophone Artist of the Year.

She made her BBC Proms debut on the 19th of August 2002 in Sonata for Strings in a performance of Shostakovich's Concerto for Piano, Trumpet and String Orchestra no. 1 in C minor, op. 35 with the Australian Chamber Orchestra conducted by Richard Tognetti.
