Unfortunately, the quartet withdrew from a planned concerts at the Wigmore Hall on the 3rd of May 2025 and the 4th of May 2025.

In 2013 The Nippon Music Foundation loaned the "Paganini" quartet, instruments made by Antonio Stradivari, to the Hagen Quartett.
The quartet was founded in 1981 as an all brother and sister quartet in Salzburg, Austria.
In the same year the won the Audience Jury Prize at the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival.
