He played Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor on the 26th of August during the 1991 BBC Proms season.

He made his BBC Proms debut on the 2nd of August 1990 in a performance of Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D major with Claus Peter Flor conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra.
