Unfortunately, his concert scheduled for the 21st of May 2020 at the Barbican Hall was cancelled due to the pandemic.
His performance with Sir Mark Elder scheduled for the 29th of March 2020 at the Barbican Hall was also cancelled.
Mr. Znaider took the position of Music Director of the Orchestre national de Lyon in September 2020.
He is also principal guest conductor with the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra.
Mr. Znaider plays a Guarneri “del Gesu” violin, built in 1742 (nicknamed "Ex-Kreisler"), which is loaned to him by The Royal Danish Theater.
Mr. Znaider performed Beethoven's Violin Concerto in D major with the Staatskapelle Dresden conducted by Christian Thielemann at the Royal Albert Hall on the 8th of September 2016.
In 1997 he won 1st prize at the Queen Elisabeth Music Competition.
He won first prize at the 4th Carl Nielsen International Music Competition in June 1992, and three years later 3rd prize at International Jean Sibelius Violin Competition
Mr. Znaider was born in Copenhagen in July 1975 as Szeps-Znaider, the Szeps removed for some time, but reclaimed in 2018.
He attended Juilliard School of Music, after starting his violin studies in Denmark.
Mr. Znaider made his BBC Proms debut on the 30th of July 2002 in a performance of Nielsen's Violin Concerto with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Thomas Dausgaard.
