Mr. Schiff played Mozart's Piano Concerto No 9 (Jeunehomme) on the 16th of August 1986 with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe being conducted by Claudio Abbado during the BBC proms.

He made his BBC Proms debut on the 3rd of September 1977 in a performance of Mozart's Concerto for Two Pianos in E flat major with the Bournemouth Sinfonietta conducted by Kenneth Montgomery.
